Im opposed to building more prisons.

Only those involved in the multi billion dollar "buisness" of the prison industrial complex and the sheeps in society who believe the poltics of fear are beating the drums for new and more prisons.

Im for more schools, univesities and comerce. This would actually reduce crime more than a prison ever could.

Most people think that prisoners are monsters and should be treated poorly but most are just guys who 'screwed up'. Many are non-violent drug offenders who got caught doing something many of us have done at one point in our lives. Remember that we live in a "Prison Nation" that incarcerates more people per-capita than any other country in the world! Never judge convicts too harshly because odds are that YOU could easily be an inmate at some point in YOUR life. Never think "Not Me!"...

@yourallbrainwashed shoplifting every time i have only done 3 short sentances 16 weeks 12 weeks 10 weeks the other 3 times were remands in custody 1 was just for 1 night i was actually only there about 14 hours then released the next day one was for four days and the other one was just a week remand the sentances i did most of it in open jail whee u ae never ever locked in and u have your own cell keys u can literally walk out there is no fences its so easy its easy to forget your in pison

@DAJAZDJ1 wow youve been to that prison 6 times? man that sucks. just curious , what were you in for? i know its none of my business , and you dont have to answer me if you dont want too. but i was just curious since i read your post on youtube. anyway, im glad to hear your free now. good for you man!!! seems like they lock people up for the stupidest shit these days, like drug possession and stupid shit like that, and their usually sentenced way too long for some small crime!

i have the perfect way to raise money for the new prison. legalize all drugs, decriminalize drugs, let all non-violent drug offenders free and use the money that you waste taking care of them to build a better prison. SIMPLE!!! "RON PAUL-RON PAUL-RON PAUL-RON PAUL"

I wanted to go for a tour to pelican bay prison but they didnt let me so i ended up going to corcoran state prison it was horrifying people screaming and just banging walls last time i go for a visit

What do you think about those that go to prison to join a violent gang when they get out? Or about people like Warren Jeffs who rapes 12 to 15 year old girls so they can have girls to get raped in the future by the one who raped their mom. There are sick people out there that needs incarceration and shouldn't be allowed to get out.

Most (though not all) prisoners are just regular people who made a bad choice (like drug possession) or got caught in a situation they couldn't foresee and ended up there. Also, contrary to what some believe, there ARE many people in prison who actually ARE innocent and were screwed by the system. Some have been exonerated after decades because of new DNA evidence...
