If it doesn't have the transfer safety bar, Ruger will fix for free, I believe.

Great video! I personally like to throw a forward spin in from the draw and use the weight of the gun coming around to cock the hammer. Just kidding, that's a great way to run a single action.

The thing about a 6th round going off only applies to colts or colt clones with a fixed firing pin. If you have a transfer bar it is safe to carry 6
-
you can load 6 in blackhawk, its have a transferbar block.

@millerusaf , its easy to tell, just check for a transfer bar. If it has one, which all new model blackhawks do, then it is safe to carry fully loaded.
-
it is just a matter of practice
-
@Stonyman65 yes, but the new model blackhawk and vaquero have a transfer safety bar so it is okay to load six

The new model black hawk has a transfer bar, so it is safe to load 6.

A 9MM revolver? I didn't even know they made such a thing. Do you actually try to upset me Miller? I'll change if you stop playing with my emotions.

@bisquik3006 lol...yeah that 9mm cylinder is pretty dang convenient. My father in law will shoot that when he's tired or reloading 357 mag rounds (9mm is cheapo around here still - about 10 dollars a box).

Could you tell me why you chose to carry five shots in a "New Model Blackhawk?"

@Monophony1 Because, this gun isn't mine, and it's an older Blackhawk. I'm not sure if it's has been upgraded or not. Since I'm not as familiar with this gun as I am with my firearms, I play it safe.
