Produced in 1967 by Philco-Ford Company, this futuristic film made predictions of the future that will be ours in the year 1999. Many of the things shown in this film have indeed come true, such as programmable microwave ovens , flat-screen computer monitors and Online shopping. This is a video transfer from an ultra-rare 16mm film which shows a bit reddish and color fading from its mere age, allthough I have worked with the color to compensate for that and performed some noise reduction on the sound.

  • if i let my crappy computer run my home id be eating boxer shorts for breakfast and noodles would be coming out of my shower. then it would crash every time someone looked at it funny

  • I saw this film in high school, and it was already dated. Everyone in class was convinced that we'd have computers running our homes by 1999, except me. Futurists always overestimate the rate of change in society, and they also tend to assume that the trends of yesterday will continue tomorrow, and that's never true.

  • It makes you wonder what films now can predict what future technology they'll develop. And that huge tv looks like around a 92 inch tv or 100 inch tv that they have now but not many have now.

    Thanks

  • Looks like the Jetsons, except they're on the ground.

  • Forecasting the moon landing wasn't much of a stretch in 1967. The Apollo project had been running full-bore since the early '60s and the landing was expected by 1970.

  • Didn't you expect to see a ruined Statue of Liberty on that beach?

  • 3:00 LOL the Dark Shadows music!

  • i wouldnt have the fadish notion \lol

  • 2 years before landing :D

  • LMFAO XD

  • I love how the kid HAS to switch pc's to watch his course on physics XD

  • It's funny how the kid needed three separate computer monitors to do his school lessons and he's flunking anyway. But the iPhone/iPad hadn't come out yet where he could do it all with one device using one or two apps. 1999, what a quaint time.
