Ma perchè ti fermi sulle 2 note del basso ogni volta???.......
BAD!
-
@lovinsjoey what's the point of music if you're just going to scrutinize every little detail? music is for enjoyment and interpretation.
-
@lovinsjoey ... That tempo is a conscious choice, gives the pianist a lot more control especially when you reach the top of the arpeggios, which too often sound sloppy at a greater tempo.
-
@debussy84 fair enough, personal taste
-
Well, i did before i posted. I've looked at many pro and amateur versions posted on youtube. Pollini's is one of the best, but I prefer cziffra's above all i've heard thus far.
-
@debussy84 listen to Pollini, please, it just rips everything, and this above version, no not that great, but some parts aren't too bad
-
Sure thing hun, you probably think the above version is good too, BWAHAHAH!
-
how so ? i don't get it, pollini's is so much more crisp and clear, and all the melodies can be heard, how the FUCK does Cziffra destroy pollini, fuck you're an idiot
-
nice joke there hahahaha
-
Cziffra's version destroys Pollini's...FACT!
i think its not too slow. the etudes of chopin are very hard. you really played well!

May I add a pinch of opinion here... slow-fast, whatever. There is an intensity to play that gets lost with speed, and there is an excitiement in speed that is not there when that speed slows. for that reason I love the two Golerg Variations by Gould... As a young man he was full of vigor. At 49 or 50 (or whatever) he enjoyed every note. I think the same goes for this interpretation. It lets you savor the drama.
