There are tons of maps of the holyland. I won several. Note that it covers what is today's eastern Jordan, much of southern Lebanon and SE Syria.
This region was not an independent country. The Syrians actually tried to have the entire region part of Syria for a long time.
The jews and arabs in the region were both considered Palestinian in the 1800s. When people say "Pails" today, do they mean just arabs? Just those people within today's Israel+Gaza+WB or E Jordan, Lebanon+syria too?

Palestine before Israel and Israel before Palestine. Israel Judea Judah and Samaria were known together as Palestine ie the region. It's a regional term. Back then there wasn't an independent Arab coy.try called Palestine...it is a new invention nothing more. Palestine is built on land stolen from Judea and Judah. The only occupation so.called is the Arab continued occupation of the region. Those fakestinians and their supporters should get a reality check ASAP.

I am not sure what the point of this video was. There was not an independent Arab state called Palestine.
In old documentaries Jews from the area were called Palestinian Jews.
Anyway, I wish for peace and do believe once Hamas and other groups renounce violence that a homeland for the Palestinians should be created.

Palestine is an ancient region that consisted of modern day Jordan, Israel, and parts of Syria and Lebanon. it's an ancient region like persia was an ancient region. now ancient persia is split up into countries. in that Johnson's Palestine map of 1867 in the video at 0:37, notice the borders of judea, samaria, and galilee in that map. you see how they border the dead sea and the jordan river? palestine is an ancient name for the entire region, not just Israel or the west bank specifically.
