But when you pirate a game you are downloading it from a third party or a torrent. Whoever is hosting the file has to pay for the cost of that bandwidth, but the developers themselves are not involved.
When you buy the bundle legitimately the people hosting the game file have to pay the bandwidth cost of your download, which likely exceeds 1 cent. This might be the developers themselves, or more like Wolfire/Valve.

@Absorbing 1Cent is more than nothing. Therefor your logic is flawed. (Unless your the person who pirates games to test them, so you know if you want to actually buy it)
