Another good hymn to solo out the tenor is Bach's "Passion Chorale", O Sacred Head Now Wounded.

Excellent! I like the way you keep the tune moving forward without playing too fast. The registrations are awesome. I love the last verse, and I want to try to find that arrangement.

Great Job as usual. I look forward to your new video postings.

When you substitute at your Baptist church, and you have finished your offertory and it's time for the Doxology, try modulating into an intro. You can take the last note in the right hand, do a 'waterfall" arpeggio down to a chord, then move to a D7 chord and when you hit G, play "Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost" in the pedal. If the ushers are paying attention they'll start down the aisle when you hit G major. The congregation will usually stand up by the time the pedal line gets to "son"

Rees, I could sit and watch you play all day long. You 'own' the organ when you play and are an artist, not a technician. I look forward to as many videos as you can do. Keep up your work as an instrument of our God here on earth. You bring great joy to all of us.
Yes you did well on registering to the text. The world with devils filled came off nice with the snarly reed, and the "one little word" also was nice with the principals without too much upperwork. You might experiment with the crescendo pedal. It depends on the organ whether it is useful or not . A hint for interludes - use a descending scale line in the pedal and harmonize around that. Another way is to play the melody in the pedal and improvise above it. I like soloing the tenor.

Well, the crescendo pedal on this organ doesn't do much. I'd like to have a "roller Swell". I think one of those would be fun to have. haha
