Why dont you just mask it with tape?? Would save you alot of trouble.

hey thanks bro i have been trying to find out how to get that look and so i just put a heavy wash on the base coat. it works, but ur method is alot better

@Generalsplatton It's often used when soldering proabobly have it at radioshack ;)

@suriassassin Yes you could, with very thin layers you could attempt to glaze layer or blending to get the exact same effect. You will not be able to beat the even finish the airbrush will do but the overall effect can be attained.

@Generalsplatton It's a 'helping hand' thingy that comes with a magnifying glass - now I find it useless haha

how you get the paint in so quick? do you only put a little inside the cup?

@louwie616 - Hi. Yes, I only use a few drops of paint at a time - for this kinda work 1 drop of paint and 1 or 2 drops of thinner should be enough.
