@mannen33bast ...being branded as international war-criminals in 2005 or so and collecting more economic sanctions than Iran and North Korea together, only avoided thanks to US vetos. And about Saudi Arabia being a lesser risk... I'm not conviced. Their army is second only to Egypt in the middle east, and their position towards Israel is very clear. The US have kept a leash on them like they do with Turkey, but you never know when things can get ugly.

@mannen33bast And all i'm saying is that blind nationalism is an ideology comparable to liberalism, socialism or communism. And in Russia's case, even economic decisions are heavily influenced by the nationalism of the government, and much more so than by any other socio-economical principle.
On the contrary, most countries today DEAL with Israel, but politically and economically, they have lost much support and credibility, to the point of narrowly avoiding...

All I am saying is that Russia is not a very ideological society. It is a nationalist society and if things changed in the top people´s opinions changes with the top. Israel is totally misjudged when it comes to support from EU and USA, almost a little bit scitzo..Israel is NOT the most important country in foreign policy, but EU and USA has changed a lot over the years and today almost all countries support Israel "behind the curtains". Turkey=huge problem, S Arabia is like waaay down the list.
