  • Where do you get pimsleur audio files from? I'm interested in learning German.

  • @racehorse87 Well I used to get them on uz-translations. net but not they are kind of removed and protected by authors... Maybe you can find it with another download program !

  • it's sooo simple if you have itunes and an ipod ! if you don't, it's a little bit complicated for organizing your files

  • I don't know about you, jmarsh8822, but in at my school we learn languages pretty well, because we are forced to talk in class and participate in dicussions to a certain topic.

Of course your right, that to a certain extent it's focused on grammar and vocab, but after the first years of struggle, the atmosphere loosens a little and you get more and more comfortable in the foreign language :)

But it always depends on the motivation though...

  • I agree that it is hard or nearly impossible to learn a language in school. It seems they are just focused on grammar and vocab. You don't even have to read fluently or correctly, if you can just get the words out your mouth and they are cool with it.

  • Where can you get audio For any language???

  • Very good method! :D

I have the Pimsleur Thai and Mandarin and I put the files on my mp3 player.

It always took me forever to fall asleep, so I started listening to the files while I lay, and, in the morning, I would skim through the lesson again to make sure I would retain all I learned. It really helped a lot!

I am working on Thai moreso now (I am a girl studying in Thailand, now) and am having difficulty learning the written language, but it will come to me soon.

  • I haven't used MP3 audios on a mobile player so far, but I have saved a lot of Spanish MP3s in a file on my computer. My friend has to give me an introduction into MP3 technology, so that I have the technical background to use it.
