Last updated February 9, 2010: 7:30 AM ET --- U.S. stock futures are trading higher Tuesday on hopes that the European Union will provide Greece with support for its mounting debt. EU officials are meeting on Thursday and are expected to address concerns over sovereign debt. Economic reports due out include December business inventories and sales. The Commerce Department is expected to say that wholesale inventories and sales each rose by 0.5%. In corporate news, NYSE Euronext (NYSE:NYX) reported Q4 EPS of $0.58, topping consensus estimates of $0.48. Revenues for the quarter fell 6.3% year-over-year to $640 million, besting consensus estimates of $638.3 million. Coventry Healthcare (NYSE:CVH) reported Q4 EPS of $0.74, besting consensus estimates of $0.56. Revenues for the quarter rose 15% year-over-year to $3.42 billion, narrowly missing consensus estimates of $3.49 billion. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) futures are trading 52.00 points above fair value, the S&P500 (INX) futures are trading 7.80 points above fair value, and the Nasdaq Composite (IXIC) futures are trading 13.50 points about fair value.
