I had the pleasure of bowling with Rowdy once. He was practicing with balls he got from a new sponser, I think the balls were Thunderbolts or maybe black Hammers, all I know is that he had 5 new balls drilled up differently & I just had a White dot. It was circa 1987 or 88 at Northland Bowl, I was 19 & had a whopping 174avg. We were the only 2 bowlers in the place, he asked if I wanted to bowl with him, I said sure, I beat him 2 out of 3 cus the super dry the lanes, he's a realy nice guy.
You think this is good bowling, you should have seen all these guys tearing up the Jr. Archways, all across the midwest. Lynch, Wonderlich, Brockland, Lightfoot - just to name a few
A mini pro tour without the money. Just a bunch of guys (kids) that wanted to show they were the best.
