If it does this after a long period of running time with little or no "rest" it may be an over-heat warning. Check if the vents are clogged with dirt and debris, and if neccesary clean them. It also may be a hard drive warning-like it's detecting intermittent "drop-outs" of some kind, triggering that beeping noise

its like morse code. Write down how many beeps there are and look it up on the manual. It will tell u whats wrong

nope, Mac doesn't do that :-) It was the harddrive. And apparently the beep is a warning sound saying that there is a harddrive problem.

the macBook needed a new hard disk which was replaced by the Apple store...
