Premiere of The Young Victoria

http://www.weld-hospice.org.uk Weldmar Hospicecare Trust was most generously given the opportunity of showing the film 'The Young Victoria' on 1 March 2009 by the film's screenwriter Julian Fellowes, a Vice President of the Trust, two days before its London Premiere and five days before it went on national release.

The Young Victoria chronicles Queen Victoria's ascension to the throne, focusing on the early turbulent years of her reign and her legendary romance and marriage to Prince Albert. The film stars Emily Blunt, Rupert Friend, Paul Bettany, Miranda Richardson, Jim Broadbent, Thomas Kretschmann, Mark Strong, Jesper Christenen and Harriet Walter.

The Electric Palace most kindly offered their cinema for the evening . The film was introduced by Julian Fellowes and, following the film, there was an opportunity to ask its screenwriter questions on its making.
