That's got to be the nicest 2 seater Gyro I have ever seen

@tornadowilkes well, you have to see the M24!

... Yes, you can autorotate but you have to have a rotor that's up to speed. Isn't there something called "coning"? I guess I'd better do some studying!
Also, I read (I think) on the website for Xenon about a ballistic recovery system parachute but I cannot imagine how you'd hook it up to any rotorcraft.
Thanks, again!

Thanks for the update! I keep looking for accident statistics but can't find any. I always worry about the rotor slowing down or a bird strike. I've flown in helicopters but always had those concerns about rotor icing and other (imaginary?) safety concerns. I guess I think about losing an engine on fixed wing, I just glide someplace. ....

Yeah but it is all about choices, the FW is no where as good in high winds thou, its horses for courses.

cool, how much are they?

Nice... never seen a xenon b4
Basically once your off the ground the rotor WIL NEVER slow down below a safe flying speed UNLESS you go neg G.
As for hitting birds no problems there has been a few reports of rotor strikes big wedge tails, also i have cut off 50mm branches and still flying, the rotors are so much more stronger than a R22 blades for eg.

Just curious - and I've not seen this mentioned on any of the Xenon videos - can one do a "jump takeoff" with a Xenon? That would really cut down on takeoff roll (but I sure hope the rotor speed does not bleed off too fast!).
Being a fixed-wing pilot, how difficult is the transition? Flying from the right-seat looks a bit squirrely.
Have you seen the new 3 seater? Any comments?
Thanks!

First off, no cant do jump take off.
Transition is very easy the flying is the same, only need to learn rotor management, flying is the easy bit.
Flight from either side is possible, i fly right, so student can fly left, to suit torque of engine solo.
No havent seen the 3 seater, though not registerable in Oz anyways, max 2 seat.
