VW Turbo diesel test

Bench test of a 1.6 litre Volkswagen Turbo Diesel. This engine was bought as a box of parts (cheap fortunetly)
It was installed in a Grumman Olsen Kubvan
As it turns out and you can see clearly here in hindsight this engine is blowing way to much blue. And ended up being stripped down again to find that the cylinder walls were way worn out. Lesson learned, measure the cylinder diameter before putting the engine back togeather, don't believe everything the seller tells you.

Great video on the VW engine. I like you have a Grumman Kubvan but mine is still has the original non-turbo engine with 6,000 original miles. Would like to see this unit installed inside the van and get you're opinion on it's performance. Please post or upload another video once you've done this. I'm sure there are others who would be interested. Fos
