  • nice variety of alan watts speeches, thanks michelle.

  • Your dang playlist is backwards....doh!

  • @Rusty0555 I think that Alan Watts didn't "have everything sorted" in the usual way we are taught (ie, enlightenment as perfectionism or following difficult systems of self-control... he said something like "getting rid of your ego is the biggest 'ego trip' there is" haha - "getting rid" means the ego acting to get rid of the ego which is futile - when realized, you can let go of it). But the realization that you can't control or "sort everything out" is actually "having it sorted out" ;-) ha

  • nonsense :D

  • @ShineLoveLightShine i second that my freind

  • @moneque53 a buddha found is a buddha lost :)

  • Enlightenment is part of the Mind Construct System. You don't need to become anything, your are all there is now. That is why you struggle with this concept. There is no enlightenment. You can't become something that you already are.

  • and, as of now, there are 23 ratings

  • Alan seems to have everything sorted; I struggle with the concept of becoming enlightened, or the reason for existence, and feel that I am no closer to becoming enlightened from when I first started 4 years ago. I think what does give some insight into alternative realms of consciousness are psychedelics, at least for me anyway. The only problem with psychedelics is that, by their very nature, pose more questions about life and existence than we have the courage to ask.
