Titanic's whistles are cute!

Yeah, that's what they sounded like we they blew in St. Paul. But they didn't sound just like that back in the day, because they are badly corroded and bent from water pressure, and they didn't blow them full power. And they were saying we might be able to hear them across the river in Minneapolis, but we never did. LOL

@shaanongreene it's not a horn, it's a whistel :)

Was there any proper audio recording of this event?
-
they used compresed air instead of steam because of its fragility
-
It's like some kind of unearthly death-groan.

I happened to be there that day. It was sad to hear it. Frankly, as far as sound quality goes, it was kind of lackluster. Still, very historically significant and really reminded one of the tragedy.

@shaanongreene Yep, recovered from the wreck and blown one last time to commemorate her loss.

They should make a 1:1 Scale replica and Blow if for a few audio recordings using steam.
-
It doesn't quite sound the same because this was done using compressed air, while the titanic used steam. Still epic tho!
is that it's REAL horn??
