Paint Tool SAI Ol Water Brush Tutorial

Hi, I did this video nearly year ago to understand better how presetted brush called Ol Water (or Oil Water) works. At first it was done for myself, but I found it today on my hard drive and decided to post it on Youtube and DeviantArt.

In this tutorial I have concentrated about the influence of Color Blending (or Blending, name depends on translation version you are using) and choosen color (or transparent option (have you ever seen this small chessboard like button and wondered why it is here and for what purpose you can use it?)).

I hope somebody can find this little guide helpful, because as for myself I find some SAI settings messy and it took me quite long time to understand how to use it and even for now I can't say that I can control them as I wish I could.

Not 100% sure, but I guess tools are different in English Pack and official SAI.

I suggest downloading English Pack and copying tool files from toolnrm folder to your SAI installation toolnrm folder.

If you do not know how to do it, look for info on official SAI forum.

it would be possible, but things shown here are pretty simple to get know with them just by looking how things differs when u pick one of 3 color options (i should get additional fourth - totally different color, like blue or red ...) and changing the color blending bar, so i rather omit voicing it over, especially that im not confident with my spoken english.

Those are the basic ones, at least my version provides them from the start.

I have all those tools but I only use the basic ones. @_@ The others are confusing. But I'm experimenting...slowly...

This was VERY helpful. You sure don't talk much (lol), but the way you organized your canvas and how you note what you're doing with your mouse/tablet is very communicative.

I've been wondering how to blend colours for a while and was wondering what that alpha channel button did, and just watching this for a few minutes gave me all the answers to my questions.
