french KILLDOZER (the band is from Lyon/Givors) covering in 1980 the Motown Contours (Do You Love Me) second hit, "First I Look At The Purse", covered later in the early 70's by the great J.Geils Band from Boston. Killdozer were long time fans of the J.Geils and its version.

Album "Funka'Rollers" -CBS/Epic- 1980.
Recorded at Scorpio Sound Studios, London.
Original KILLDOZER (from 1975 to 1983) is :
Robert Lapassade (voc), Dood Gonzalez (lead guit), JP "WaWa" Gouillon (guit), Pat Brondel (drums), Phil "Pank" Panchione (bass).

  • Get the facts straight J.Geils did a much better job and recorded many years before this band (Killdozer) Vocals are weak so are the breaks and phrasing. Need to learn before you post..J.Geils pays homage to the Contours! Weak

  • @JoeGuitarCente... Hey Joe Boy,...not everyone who looks and listens to You tube is an amateur musician or has no experience. I did play guitar and sang in a band that we sold over 75 million records. I then went to produce bands and artists. I have worked for Sony music, Capitol records, BMG music and more. I do know music very well. You sound like a frustrated musician or person. Not many French bands have ever been successful in the US. J.Geils band's version rocks the house!!
