  • I have the fondest memories of watching this in syndication in the late 60s with my dad. Good thing it was on in the afternoon 'cause it would have given me nightmares otherwise. And to Happymundo who thinks the '95 version was better ... what brand of glue are you sniffing?

How could a science fiction show hope to score big without expensive special effects? Two words - great writing. Outer Limits and Twilight Zone have withstood the test of time precisely for this reason.

  • The finest sci-fi classic ever made on television, #1, I have the entire collection on DVD and I cherish this treasure. Star Trek? It don't compare. Twilight Zone is very close to it. Lost In Space in the early seasons is good and The Invaders is very good too but The Outer Limits is the best of them all.

  • My favorite episode is "The premonition"

  • The GREATEST sci fi series EVER! I am 57 years "young" now and remember seeing this when I was 9 and it scared the living daylights out of me but was definitely fun to watch! Between this, Twilight Zone, and Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine (which devoted a write up on Outer Limits in there 26th issue!), it was a fantastic time to be what we call now a "monster kid" in the early to mid 1960's......

  • @wahoo76

You are right on this & my last comment removed. =-O

  • @SuperZenozeno As of this writing (October, 2011), Dominic Frontiere is 80 years old. He is alive and well and living in New Mexico.

  • This was one freaking fantastic TV show...the second promo, which showed clips of Martin Landau as "The Man Who Never Was", and the clip of David McCallum as the artificially created "man of the future" were two of the best stories ever brought to TV in any era. You didn't need special effects with stories and actors like these!

  • The OUTER LIMITS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • not as good as Twilight Zone, but still a very good show!
