Karate-dō (空手道):
Karate, translates to "empty hand" and implies weaponless self-defence. "Do" means "way of life." Thus, "Karate-Do" means to practice the art of Karate as a way of life. The serious student of Karate-Do finds Karate becoming a part of his life. Karate-Do cultivates the virtues of humility, concern for others, patience and strength. It delevops the mind and strengthens the body and teaches us to concentrate on spiritual values instead of monetary pleasure or material possession.
Shin-Gi-Tai (心技体): Spirit, Skill, Body
Shin-Gi-Tai means the unification of the three elements: Spirit, Technique, and Body; which make a complete person.
Karate (空手) is a martial art developed in the Ryukyu Islands (Okinawa)、Japan from indigenous fighting methods called te (手) and Chinese kenpō. Karate is a striking art using punching, kicking, knee and elbow strikes, and open-handed techniques such as knife-hands (karate chop). Grappling, locks, restraints, throws, and vital point strikes are taught in some styles. A karate practitioner is called a karateka (空手家).

Finnaly some real karate .. so many videos from USA are soooooooooooooo far away from Karate.
