I stumbled into this video by accident and WOW!!! Talk about a moving story of respect and honor. If this doesn't bring a tear to your eyes I don't know what will!
i am trying to make a movie if i cant go to butaritari for the movie filming where would somewhere in California be ideal for filming Catalina island ?
for those Marines that return to such places nowadays, i cant imagine ever going back there, and ive seen some that even meet the japanese troops they fought.. that must be overwhelming..
My honor as a United States Marine makes me proud that I worked for Civilian Identification Lab when it was at Barbers Point and it was one of the most gratifying places I worked and the most emotional one. I will forever remember my time going through those files and crying so much as a tough Marine. But I also felt gratitude and solemn that these brave men fought for the country with honor. God Bless these brave men and God Bless all those who have sacrificed so much.
I was a Marine in VietNam and thought I was tough until I saw this. I wept like a baby for 15 minutes. What a great tribute to our previous heros !! Mike !!
Thanks.................... Take a stronger man than I to keep it together after this. I Can't help buit look at the sacrifices, and see where we are headed........GOD HELP US.
Thank you for telling us this story. God bless our Armed Forces and God bless the little man and his people who buried our marines with such grace and reverance
