dear santa, i would like....

@tastaturadefier It is, but there comes a point at high RPM that there is only enough time to burn so much.. diesel fuel burns slowly in comparison to gasoline.
-
@chickomenon I just thought it was.
I knew that smoke, means, in part, unburned fuel

@tastaturadefier Are you Gale Banks? Show me a 5.9 Cummins making a smokeless 1200+hp and I'll show you a liar.. The engines in Mod trucks these days are running very close to Stoich. Not that you would know anything about Stoichiometry or Stoichiometric A/F ratios, anyway.. which is 14.5:1
Diesel fuel is less volatile and is effectively burned as it is injected, leaving less time for evaporation and mixing. Thus, it would form soot (black smoke) at stoichiometric ratio.

fuckin' LOVE that whistle at the end
-
smoke=unburn fuel=a lot of wasted power
-
sicky!

@HondaMX450r919 The nitrogen oxides are poisonous, so yea. And if the carbon comes out cleanly, it's in the form of CO[2], greenhouse gas. Otherwise you get carbon monoxides, that are poisonous, and soot.
