...Mumford and Sons - Whispers in the Dark, Bon Iver - Skinny Love, City and Colour - The Girl for some more similar kinda music.

Actually you might wanna look into alterna-country genre too, which is just like it sounds, a mixing of country and alternative rock. Try Blaze Foley - Clay Pigeons and also try Townes Van Zandt - Dead Flowers.

This particular song is Americana, which is a mixing of most of the roots music (folk, country, rhythm and blues, blues and rock n' roll) along with dashes of other traditionally American sounds (like bluegrass). Americana has more of a gritty and 'real' feel rather than the polished sound of heavily produced albums.

If you like Americana, look into folk rock and indy folk, you'll likely like them as well, because they're very similar.
