Doc Severinsen's band on the Carson show always played the "Gillette Look Sharp March" as the 'walk-on' music whenever a boxer appeared as a guest. An unusual example of how a jingle for the sponsor of a sport on TV became synonymous with the sport itself!

I first heard this song on an arcade game in 1984...it was done with an electronic sound using whats known as MIDI ( the music on the game ) and my dad heard it and said, "Yeah son that is an old song from back in the day for Gilette razors". Look up "Punch Out Arcade" on here and you will hear it.

Brings back memories of my father, who loved to watch boxing on TV in the 50s, when it was on almost every night of the workweek.
