@ClaytonChan If you speak Japanese, his blog describes his technique. Basically he uses an expensive telescope mount with a motor. Because amateur astronomers sometimes take extremely long exposures, the telescope needs to move as the sky moves in order to track the same object. I don't know how these devices work exactly but they can be automatically programmed to move and track stellar objects. Or in this case, to move slowly in whatever way you want over a medium to long period of time.
