The Star Fox 2 Beta

well here it is. the infamous Star Fox 2. im here with my first ever video, a video no less of me playing an emulated ROM version of the beta of an unreleased game, Star Fox 2. i hope you enjoy. Some Details:
you may notice several things. for example yes that was pigma and that was leon, you do see both of them. this game was originally the one to introduce star wolf but seeing as the game never saw the light of day, unfortunately, they were ported over to Star Fox 64.

needless to say if youve played Star Fox command you will have the general idea of what this game is about. it seems that this game has had elements from it injected into Star Fox Assault, Star Fox 64, and the rest of the star fox games save for Star Fox Adventures.

and also, with star fox 2 there were two new members. a poodle of some kind named fey and a LYNX named mia, or something to that degree i may have gotten that wrong though.

so yes, this is the Star Fox 2 Beta 1.1 , on Emulation.

Tools used: Mac Powerbook G4, SNES9X emulator, recorded with SNES9X emulator, Logitech USB Gamepad.

where do i get it?!

search the web for the ROM, and play it via emulator. no cartridges of this game exist, and this game is unreleased. this is a beta version.

yeah, it is annoying, to a degree. if you know what your doing though it makes things a bit less tedious, but its still tedious.

one of two female characters predating krystal, that never really saw the light of day being they were only in star fox 2 and the game got canned.

Perfected the ROM? The game was essentially complete, It simply needed a translation for English players, and removal of the debug info, and a couple of other cleanups.

The decision to cancel it was based purely on marketing reasons, and not technical reasons. The job these guys did was great for us, but means nothing to Nintendo. If they truly wanted to release it, they could have done all that work themselves.

That's the reason Star Fox 2 was cancelled. It was nearly complete, when the Nintendo 64 was coming up, and they decided they didn't want to release it, and have a new system come out right afterwards. So we got Star Fox 64 instead.

I looked at Star Fox 2 and the N64 version, and honestly the 64 version is starfox 2 with modern graphics and a couple of changes.
