I agree Tony Burrows does belong in the hall of fame;I'm sure there are many people who would disagree but who cares!!Tony Burrows is also not a one hit wonder.Good comment themolc!

On the U.S. charts SUGAR, SUGAR was #1 for 4 weeks and JINGLE JANGLE went TOP 10 and was a million seller. They had 4 charted hits. They weren't a one hit wonder. Tony Burrows belongs in the HALL OF FAME. So does RON DANTE.

You're right. However this doc was made for the BBC in Britain, and in this country 'Sugar Sugar' was the only chart hit for the Archies. Thanks for the info though,

OH MY YOU ARE HEAVEN SENT Crackon58!!! I got to see a whole clip of THE Tony Burrows which is really hard to find. I was born in 1979 in the U.S. and I am huge fan of his! I missed most of the Tony Burrow Era and I think he's the most under appriciated sing of all time!! he is in my top 3 of best voices ever!!

Glad you like the Tony Burrows stuff. We spent a lovely day with him back in 1997 shooting this, including a most enjoyable lunch at his local pub in Surrey where he lives. He told us a lot of great stories about recording those hits! I have to agree with you about his voice. Pure pop. And 'Love Grows is probably my all time favourite pop song. Thanks again for the kind comments.
