This is the scene "They Fell" from the play "Almost, Maine" by John Cariani, except modified a little.

This was my first film to shoot with my new camera. My friend, brother and I were just learning how to use it and decided to use this script.

This is quite possibly the worst interpretation of this scene I have ever seen. There is no motivation, no objective, the choices these actors make don't make any sense. Whoever directed this clearly didn't even read the script. You can't just 'put your own twist' on something and in reality take away the entire integrity of the text. Try to at least pull some meaning from a text before filming it. John Cariani wrote it this way for a reason, don't pull it out of your ass.

@cardinalfan127 sort of. we just wanted to film something that we didn't write to use our new camera, so we chose this and put our own twist on it. we didn't really prepare or anything... didn't even memorize the lines. i think that's why i cough so much... i didn't realize i was doing it so often. we just went and shot for practice.

No respect for the original text. No respect for the pureness of a romantic relationship between to people of the same sex (apparently gay men love watching other men pee?). No equality between the two characters. The gay one is pathetic and the "straight one" is dominant. Why? Do you not understand the concept of this scene within the large picture of the play? Ignorant use of a beautiful scene. Absolutely dreadful. Just godawful ignorance.

I personally liked it(: They did this play at my school this past weekend and they cut out most of the scene, it was too "inappropriate" for the students to do something like that. hahaha I thought it was good aside from Randy peeing. The way Chad was like staring him down while he did so kinda weird, but what ever...(: Still good! p.s. The guy who played Randy was a cutie;)
