John J. McCarty Observatory 10th Anniversary Celebration

This month's JJMO 10th Anniversary Celebration features Dr. Heidi Hammel on the topic "Cosmic Collisions".

Dec. 2, 2010 marks 10 years since the John J. McCarty Observatory was dedicated and opened its doors to the New Milford community. This celebration SSS recounts some of the accomplishments JJMO has had during that time, looks into the future that JJMO hopes to create, and enjoys a fascinating journey into Cosmic Collisions as reported by JJMO's resident professional astronomer, Dr. Heidi Hammel. In addition, there were exhibits, freebies, and refreshments for our visitors. All this took place in the main auditorium and lobby of New Milford High School.
