The new update (4.0.2) patches the PDF hole in the iphone/ipod touch/ipad safari browser. BUT if you are on iOS 4.0 you will be vanurable, so Jay Freeman(Saurik) created this patch/tweak for all idevice's so it will patch this. Now the only reason apple even had this update is because of the most popular jailbreak (jailbreakme) an in device jailbreak.

antivirus for iphone and ipod? in a way thats correct. in a way thats false. for example the pdf exploit is a PDF file so basicly, it only protects you from pdf malware. not ipa or exe. and it only attacks jailbrocken devices atm.
