Here's the answer to my earlier video, I used Microbe and Bhaji's Loops by Chocopoolp software. These two excellent pieces of sortware run on Palm OS5 PDA's, you can find more info at www.chocopoolp.com

I started with Microbe to create the groove then exported it into Bhaji's Loops, I added a vocal "keep it acid" using the PDA's built in mic, then just messed about with it. This example does not use anywhere near the full potential of Bhaji's Loops, it's just me arsing about, I will do a proper version of it and upload later.

No other fx or editing was used, just recorded straight into my computer.

:) Keep it acid!

  • is that device the "jazzmutant lemur" ???

    anyway - great work !!!

  • No it is a Palm Lifedrive PDA running Microbe and Bhajis Loops. Cheers

  • Cheers! I don't think it can run on an emulator because the code is optimised for ARM cpu's, but you can pick up a used Palm T3 for quite cheap on ebay, the software costs $43 for both, so with the Palm about £100 all in, cheaper than a used synth and it fits in your pocket :)

  • Whoa ! This is FINE !! Man, you da thinka

  • Very interesting. Not used to seeing that sort of display. Well done :) I guess the only thing I find limiting in the 606-303 arena there aren't any chord changes but I guess that's the beauty of it. Perhaps the only way to do it would be to import an entire sequence on the comp then add to it and build as you go along but then it wouldn't be completely analog.. Thx for this.. k later :)

  • Daren ager.
