On "State of the Union," John King asks Sen. John McCain his thoughts on President Obama's winning the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

"I'm sure the President is very honored to receive this award," he said of his 2008 election rival. "The Nobel committee, I can't devine all of their intentions, but I think part oftheir decision making was expectations, and I'm sure the President understands that he now has even more to live up to, but as Americans, we're proud when our President receives an award of that prestigious category."

He adds, "I think all of us were surprised at the decision, but I think Americans are always plased when the President is recognized by something on this order."

  • i'm not sure why people have been so shocked at obama winning a prestigious award without having accomplished anything. he won the damn election without having done anything at all as a US senator! so this is the same usual obama free pass pattern that's been going on for the past 2 yrs.

  • mccain is a cool dude.

  • Lee, I think you don't know class when you see it. While most of this country and the world was scoffing, Senator McCain found something kind to say. Barack in all of his insecurities, pettiness and arrogance would do well to emulate this man...but sadly, I just don't think he has it in him. Even most of the Odroolers have admitted that Baracks 11 days in office did not qualify him for this...nor since.

  • The question was Did Obama deserve it? McCain is such a 'sad case', he didnt answer the question ! Wouldn't say yes , but was careful to not say no. The guy has lost it.

  • obama was thrown on the list 12 days after his election haha

  • I love Obama I seriously do but I am a logical enough person to say that Obama didnt deserve to win that award, Not even Ghandi got his peace prize yet and Obama was thrown on the list in 8 months? Obama I love you but seriously hide under your desk before they decide to model you for a statue

  • McCAIN vs. THE INTERNET

Republican Senator John McCain, who is a total Internet illiterate, wants to LIMIT your internet access and allow your service provider to CHARGE YOU EXTRA to access the Web.

Oh yeah BTW, Republican Senator McCain is the #1 recipient of donations from Telecom companies. How could we guess?

  • The next James Bond villain should be Acorn to satisfy all you righties that see their handiwork in every facet of american culture. I heard Acorn was behind the Kanye West VMA debacle too!

  • LOL LOL

  • notice that when dems win elections the diebold voting machines weren't screwed with. depends how close members acorn got to them while noone was looking.

  • I'm afraid I have to disagree with TruthWatch on this. The fact he wants to fundamentally change america shows he understands, as the constituion was written, it does not fall inline with his socialist/communist view of what the government should be.
