Did this video, about the rise and fall of the Japanese Empire between 1931-45, in Windows Photostory nearly three years ago.
This incorporates both vintage Japanese World War Two photos and propaganda art, along with some action figure photos depicting various aspects of the Japanese experience of that period that have taken.

The video's title, and the music track accompaning the visuals, is from an old Japanese poem that was set to music in the early 20th Century, and which was sung by members of the Imperial Japanese Navy, and, quite probably, Japanese soldiers and civilians during that period.

I hope you may enjoy this.

BTW, if you want to, please rate, comment, or both. One advisory though, if you don't like the video, please say WHY you don't like it.

The only way that I, or any other artist learns is through feed-back, including critical feed-back, especially if it points out specific virtues or failings, in anything I put out.

So, if you can, please be specific, thanks.

Comments like "you suck", "fuck you", and so on will be taken down. Why??? Because, they may be critical, but they're rude without being informative, that's why.

Anyhow, that's it for me. Hope you enjoy this, and if not, sorry if you don't.

Thanks for posting this, as a gun collector and model builder I have learned several languages and cultures in the process. One has to do this if you want to understand the artifacts....My favorite is the Ni Shi (Two-Type) Paratrooper Rifle..

  • @vonmazur1 Sorry for the lateness of this reply, but thank you for your comments and for the information on the poem. Both are very much appreciated here, and, again, sorry for the late reply to your comment!
