I think it is partly intented, and partly because they had no options, if you have a very unknown band (=no money) and you make records in your "home Studio" with poor audio-tools, maybe it will just sound like this ;) or so, that is what I think^^

@Machtige72 dude the fact that has that quality helps to build a proper territory to create a certain atmosphere.If u are into black metal for a while u should know that.if u are new u will get used to it with the time.

Why does BM always seem like its recorded so poorly?

This sounds like they were in a large hall and used one mic on the opposite end? Is this intentional?

Not trying to put the music down, it just seems like it could sound way better.
