I wouldn't call that a race! In terms of pure power, that 185 would have left you for dead on full throttle and maximum engine power

having ridden in Mk1 stock on a preserved railway, i find the seats more comfortable than later stock, and as for sprinter seats, i'd rather stand!

You only won because the 185 got checked for the FL coal train ! I drive the 185s and York signallers are extremely poor at getting two trains in at the same time. Its 50/50 who'll get the road. I'm sure they toss coins to see which one they'll delay the most.......
