10x14 Bricks - Stories from Youth in Lock-up -Trailer

This is a unique youth crime prevention resource DVD kit.
The Hero Project worked with teenagers in lock-up to develop their film ideas, scripts and storyboards so they could shoot and direct their own films - without revealing their faces and constrained by strict security to a few locations within the facility.

Produced inside a juvenile secure care facility over a 10-week workshop, the young people developed their story concepts, storyboarded and shot their films in an outstanding team effort.

Teachers and youth workers are raving about the extraordinary Meet-the-Director feature, which juxtaposes glimpses of behind-the-scenes with candid interviews on juvenile crime.

It is an inspiring role reversal to see young offenders demonstrate such talent and sophistication as filmmakers, although they have not held a legitimate camera before!

For easy use in class, the on-screen Talk Points help trigger discussions about crime prevention strategies the young offenders have identified as relevant to their peers.
