Zac Efron Quits Footloose Movie

Hello everyone. From Clevver TV, I'm Dana Ward talking about Zac Efron's recent movie drop-out.

The 21-year-old definitely graduated from his days with the High School Musical series, but the singing and dancing characters that got him the starring role in the upcoming Footloose remake, are the same things that caused him to quit the film. This is all according to reports, of course, that Efron supposedly thinks he's being type-casted as the musical man... and that in an effort to break this same-job roll that he's on, he just said NO. Zac had apparently been attached to Footloose since July 2007 and announced his departure after receiving an updated script draft in late March 2009. The remake of the classic 80s flick will go on, indeed, with HSM-director Kenny Ortega. It's scheduled to drop into theatres in 2010.

So, are you thinking 'Zac - what are you doing to us? You've made it in Hollywood because you're good at singing and dancing and acting, so why stop now? to me Zac Efron looks like a Ren. im not saying he looks like Kevin Bacon because he doesnt. i just think he would make a good updated Ren as far as looks go.

i think he doesnt like singing... hes much better in dramatic roles...
