  • Planting "moss" in the joint openings is FUCKING RETARDED! It looks like you don't keep up on your yard and have weeds...

  • Why sand instead of granite dust?

  • @marijax1 No problem. I'm not a professional landscaper, just going off my own experience.

    Good luck.

  • @photojohne Thanks for the info! I've been reading about an Enviro Bond or Enviro Sand, one if for pavers and the other for flagstones (not sure which one) it seems to be a very good product but there are no dealers available here in FL :( I will research about the sealant you are suggesting. I really appreciate your helpful comments! :) THANKS AGAIN!

  • @marijax1 Yes, about the weeds. I used a grout with mine and still have a few that come up between cracks. I just keep them down with Round-Up. Also, it depends on where you live. I know this wouldn't hold up here in the Midwest with all the freezing and thawing. I would also research some sort of sealant to put over it after you grout/cement. Prolongs the stones and the grout. Yeah, this patio looks great now, but give it 6 months to a year...

    Cheers.

  • @photojohne Is that true? Weeds growing up through the sand? Any suggestions we can do it better? I was hoping to put flagstone patio like this but now I have doubts, please advise.. thanks!!!!

  • You'll have weeds growing up threw the sand before you know it. You need to grout in between the stones, not to mention the erosion and replacing the sand each year.

  • Definitely NOT the way to do it.

  • great vid, where do I get a firepit like that one?
