More than ever before consumers these days are trying new flavors and new offerings when it comes to meals in their homes. We visit a Maine farmer who has been discovering ways in making seaweed more palatable to a wider audience. See how these sea vegetables he harvests from the ocean are finding new favor with gourmet diners!
sustainable, brilliant, thats the way it should be but here in Norway the harvest is 200,000 tons per year by mechanical dredge -its destroyed the sea in the south and its doing the same in the north -

This is not as pure as the seaweed harvested by Larch Hanson in Stueben, Maine. He would NEVER use gas motors to harvest. Larch is a real PURIST.

I have to admit it: I'm VERY grossed out to see these women at 1:34 packing the stuff using their bare hands! WTF? Use disposable gloves, we eat this stuff right out of the bag!!! :-/ It's been documented that most workers do not wash their hands after using the bathroom. I'm not sure I will purchase again, kinda hard to get past this "picture", sorry to say.

Maine Coast Sea Vegetables I had done business with them for many years. These are highly nutritional food. My favorite along with most folks that try them is Dulse.

You know, my university professor put info from your video on our final exam for plant biology! (Yes Prof. Bazely, I'm talking about you. I know you're reading this, and probably laughing hysterically). Anyways, nice video. I found it very informative, and interesting.
