This was the Beatlefest (I think) that I was at. Harry wandered past my hotel room; I was doing a song of mine that ("You Make Me Nauseous") he liked. He called it the "universal hate song - everybody feels that way at least once"). He invited a friend and me to a party in his penthouse. May Pang was there - not a nice person. She wanted me kicked out cuz in those days I looked like Lennon. But Harry told her I was staying. Everybody got wasted and had a GREAT time! :)

I was checking something to watch on Monkey TV and i started iTV channel which showed the documentary Imagine with Mr Nilsson. That was not more than 20 hours ago. Now Im a fan. Got his Schmilsson album on iTunes. Love Got to get Up. I have been lost in music for several years but finding my way back thanks to Harry.

God bless Harry, there will never be another like him.

Sad to see Harry as a pale shadow of his former self. I don't who's the more uncomfortable.... him struggling, or me watching the performance.

@JoeBloggo400 Just drop "Harry Nilsson rehearsal" into the search box and those should be the first ones to pop up.
I just saw the Nilsson documentary yesterday, and it's probably one of the best music biopics that I've seen in a loooong time. Lots of great footage of our Harry, lots of insight into what made this man tick and a must see for anyone out there who's remotely interested in learning more about him. One thing that put my lil heart at ease was that towards the end of his life was he was able to reclaim that wondrous voice of his..not a 100% but enough of it to show us just how special he was.

@DAVWAVE Granted, but his talent doesnt' deserve to be as marginalized as it has since the 70s........you gotta remember something, this guy was an absolute genius who was probably one of the best singer songwriters in the business before he became a "Beatle buddy"and John's troublemaking pal. Alcohol destroyed him and left us with the walking corpse you see here, but beforethis sad display he was a man with a truly awsome talent that really deserves to be recognised.
