MotoFemina is a reality video series that features three women from Santa Fe, New Mexico USA who are encountering motorcycle riding for the first time. The three women are drawn from all walks of life, but one thing unites them: their passion to break out of the ordinary and become motorcyclists. - Bike Pick Up - The MotoFemina are required to pick up their 387 pound BMW F 650 GS motorcycle before they can take their first ride on the bike.

I dropped my wifes F650GS FL on purpose on our garden lawn and although she's only 5ft tall she can pick it up ok. She's practised doing this a few times even with the bike fully loaded and it really gives her confidence knowing she can pick her bike up after a fall....! It is amazing that a dropped bike is most peoples worst nightmare and it just takes a bit of practice and you can pick it up again.

With this particular way of picking up the bike, isn't there always a danger you might push it too far and end up dropping it on the other side? I seem to remember Charley Boorman (I think it was him) showing a different way to do it in one of the Long Way series where he picked it up by the handlebar (the end touching the ground) with both hands and simply pulled it up.
