For a small country, Ireland continues to have an outsize impact on global literature. Meet two giants of the contemporary Irish literary scene, Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Paul Muldoon ("Horse Latitudes," "Sixty Instant Messages to Tom Moore") and Sebastian Barry, whose novel "The Secret Scripture" was shortlisted for the 2008 Man Booker Prize and whose play, The Pride of Parnell Street, had its U.S. premiere at the Festival this past summer.
