@mikemyerz666 Detroit just doesn't play there draft picks until they are somthing like 23-24...they wait until they are ready. They have a great system in detroit, one of the reason they have such a good team year after year.

This argument is ridiculous. The Red Wings buy cups? Really? It's called scouting, you look for players who would be a great addition to the team and it's playing style. Did Chicago buy their cup because they signed Hossa that season? I'm sure as a Philly fan, you wouldn't say that if they win a cup next year, even though they just replaced basically the entire team except for Pronger.
