This is a video from the in-car camera in my VX SS Commodore at a Track Day at Oran Park. The wet track and heavy rain for most of the day made for some good sideways action, and a bit of a spin at the end. Enjoy!!

  • Did you find the Xr alot more tail happy? I have a bf Xr and vz ss so pretty similar as vx just different face and the vz seems to under steer at slower speeds but gives you more confidence when you chuck it into corners I want to sell one and concentrate on one of them! Any suggestions? Did you sell the Xr for a reason!

  • @Nomis231987 Yeh, the XR was more tail happy. I have a video on youtube from Eastern Creek in the wet and it was so much fun. I sold the XR because I love the grunt of the V8. Also, on hot days the XR seemed to be a bit sluggish, and it was worse with the aircon on. Perhaps this was down to it being a BA series1 5 speed manual. But it just didn't feel quick, even after a flash tune. Some people think im crazy for selling the XR6T to buy a VE SS but I enjoy driving the SS more.

  • So which car is better xr6 or ss? Have you had them out in dry and how they compare wet to dry????

  • @Nomis231987 I took both cars to Wekefield Park in the dry when the XR6T was standard and the SS had AP Racing brakes installed and they both did the same lap time (a 1:17.???). But since then the SS has been modified to a similar spec to the V8utes and I traded the XR6T in for a VE SS.

  • @AeronPhotos I still love Fords but. I'd LOVE an FG GT!!! HOT!!

  • lmao haha so sad,

  • @BIackkJackk Yeh I sold the XR6T and bought a VE SSV. The SSV is nicer to drive and I love the low down instant V8 grunt. I still have the VX too.

  • Nice skills. Did you sell your xr6 turbo? I was wondering how the vx ss compares to the xr6t. I am trying to decide between the two.

  • @twinturbonissan300zx From memory it was about $200 but it you have a CAMS license you can do Eastern Creek in Sydney for about $110. Wakefield Park in Goulburn is a good track for 1st timers and costs about the same.
