This is based on a PM sent to me by Monkeeman. I have no idea if the information is correct, but this is just for fun anyway, and some information for those like me who had never heard of any sort of code like this!

Monkeeman also provided this link. I haven't looked at it and I have no idea if it is suitable for all readers or not! So please don't blame me if you follow it and find anything offensive!

  • you've switched the roles around. Wearing in the left pocket means you are "top" and right means "bottom"

  • I'll take your word for it-I was going off what someone told me, and he was getting his info verified by an internet site, so plenty of room for mistakes!

  • Someone should tell this to that Mexican Kings gang. They're going around wearing red and yellow bandannas (saw it on the discovery channel or something). They could get themselves into some... interesting situations.

  • hahaha :D

  • @Eastmanarium 70s San Francisco.

  • @Eastmanarium, I actually live in the midwest :P As I said, I've only seen it a hand full of times, and those who DO know what they are into already know what colors to look for, so it's not as hard as it seems if you look ahead of time.

  • @sheadatear Displaying them on the wrists isnt the part for bandannas or hankies, but is usually done through the rubberband/ jellybands that were very popular in the early 2000s. Some school settings and work places actually banned students and workers from wearing them because of this. Check up on "jelly band meanings" on google for this.

  • @Eastmanarium There is limited use in some Urbanized settings, such as the city, and some times nearby suburbs. Although I've only seen it on a handful of occasions, those who usually display it are often the fastest ones approached by others.

  • As great as the system sounds for gay guys to find who they're looking for, say, in a crowded nightclub or beat, it's seems like there's a lot of potential for confusion. For instance: a yellow hanky DOES indicate a pee fetish, but a pale yellow hanky indicates a drool fetish, and a gold hanky indicates looking for a threesome. Maybe this is why most gay guys have great color coordination. XD

    Also - Music = WIN.

  • ah you just saved me like 10 min. of wastful talk

    Thank you very much <3

  • Same thing, left or right wrist rather then pocket.

  • Also, I have seen more gay men tie them around their wrists rather than put them in their pockets.

  • The code isn't widely used anymore; besides, they don't have to wear them if they choose not to.
