Like Michalt441alt already told, I wasn't playing this for real. It's just a demo but the framerate is for real, because all the graphics are used by the original game

The real question is, one gig or two?... I have a 1005ha and with one gig it was lag city. With two it's not so bad

He isn't playing any of this at all, he's just playing a demo movie file included with the game. It was a test match by the ID staff playing against each other. I can tell, because I own a retail Quake III Arena on CD-ROM and it is included in my copy.

you might even be able to play Quake 3 but remember that it will hardly make you play something more than Unreal 2004...to be honest even on Unreal 2k4 it still lag in open areas-large maps (close area maps are playable in the 30 frame/sec range)
