well, personally, i dnt believ in such thing Abraham(bcuz there isnt any historical proofs that he ever existed), bt according to old testement, when abraham arriced to hebron there was other nations, philsties, canaans, and hetiets.

@ysr144 the philistines where at Gaza, or somewhere around there, and the canaanites (who were pagan) where in Galilee. the canaanites disappeared, I´m not sure, and then after the jews came back from Egypt the land was made up in the 10 tribes, and then came the babylonian exile. after the jews came back, many years later they were conquered by the romans, who called the land Palestina. Even after the jews where exiled after the revolt in 73, the jews remained there.
