Demonstration at Israel embassy at Palace Gate in London to commemorate the genocidal attack in December 2008 on the helpless and imprisoned people of Gaza by the full might of the Israel army, navy and air force, making use of all of its US supplied armoury of F16s and Apache helicopters and tanks and dime bombs and deadly chemical weapons and God knows what else.
@nigelblumenthal As I said, my objection is to his switching allegiance from Britain to a fascist regime. Apart from that good riddance to him and his bus-load of children, I am sure we will survive without them (or maybe he has arranged for his kids to keep their British nationality, just in case).

@nigelblumenthal Wow, you sound like something to the right of UKIP. What do you feel about EDL yobs I wonder; there are a lot of keen Israel supporters amongst them; are there good yobs and bad yobs, depending on their Zionist viewpoint?

@MrAlexSeymour "Allegiance" ? As far as I understand it, if you leave the UK and go to live permanently somewhere else, you transfer your allegiance to that state. Anyone who has emigrated to the US or Iraq, to take just two top-of-the-head examples, will put you right on that one. And if you live in a country, but maintain allegiance to a foreign power, that's called "treason".

@MrAlexSeymour Aha, now we get to the root of it. You think the UK is "free, law abiding and decent", eh? "Free" as in "subject to rule by unelected bureaucrats from the EU", "law abiding" as in the week of rioting this past summer, and "decent" as in refusing to discipline yobs who will spit on you and swear at police, and make foreign policy decisions based on fear of Muslims. I guess we are poles apart on our visions of the two societies. My view on Israel follows.

@nigelblumenthal Allegiance of course. Nothing wrong in principle. However to abandon Britain, a free, law abiding and decent society in favour of representing an evil racist and murderous regime is disgusting and contemptible. I can guess what the Queen thought of him as he pranced into the palace to present his letters of credence.

@MrAlexSeymour Yes, I know that Mr. Taub is the UK's Israeli ambassador. I still wonder exactly what you mean, though: What "faith, cause or alliegance" would you consider Mr. Taub has deserted? And do you consider "desertion" to be a bad thing?

Renegade: (Penguin dictionary) A deserter from one faith, cause or allegiance to another.

@nigelblumenthal Nigel - from the Jerusalem Post when he was appointed:
Daniel Taub named new Israeli ambassador to London By HERB KEINON 06/20/2011 British-born diplomat who will replace Ron Prosor considered an authority on humanitarian law and counter terrorism....The Foreign Ministry’s senior appointments committee on Monday named British born, ... 18-year ministry-veteran Daniel Taub as the next ambassador to London... Taub, married with six children, holds degrees from Oxford...

Alex, what exactly do you mean by "renegade British incumbent" ?
nigelblumenthal 2 months ago
@nigelblumenthal Nigel, whilst on the other side of the road there was the usual crowd of (mostly) unpleasant Zionist supporters, defending their favourite embassy and its renegade British incumbent. Hamas of course is Israel's own 'divide and rule' creation; the last thing Tel Aviv wants is a united Palestine talking peace. We will have to wait to see if a re-elected Obama acquires the guts to stand up to AIPAC; shan't hold my breath.
